When should I start training before a competition or season?
Basically, the earlier the better. The athlete must understand that cellular and muscular adaptations needed for premium competition require many things, most of which is TIME. Also, the time it takes for an athlete to experience these adaptions varies considerably. At Preston Student Athlete Services, we recommend that the athlete begins the Jump 2 Speed training several months prior to a competition, try-out, or regular season.

How long does the training protocol last?
While the intensity varies throughout the season, the Jump 2 Speed program does not have an "off-season". It is a continuous training program designed to establish and maintain a constant state of optimum performance.

How long will it take until I see results?
As stated earlier, training results vary considerably between athletes. There currently isn't any scientific evidence as to why one athlete responds faster to training stimuli than another. Some theorize the answer resides in genetic profiles. Regardless of why, with determination and dedication, ALL of our athletes will experience training adaptions.

Is there an age limit to begin training with PSAS?
There is not an age limit for training. We have trained athletes from 7 years old to adults. We personalize our training prescriptions for our young and adult participants.

I am already good at my sport. Why do I need to train?
No matter how good you are, every athlete can become better. Many times athletes will begin training because they see areas where they need to improve, but this is a common mistake. Athletes of all levels of performance need to train in order to obtain peak performance. Professional athletes train religiously; why should amateur, college and high school athletes settle for any less?

I am an adult training for an upcoming career (fire fighter, police officer, etc.). Can you help me?
Absolutely. Our expert training is not limited to just student athletes but to anyone who strives to compete physically on the field or in their career. We apply the necessary exercise designs to ensure excellence in any physical test/career or exercise plan.

I understand that you train players but can you train entire teams?
If given a preference, we would rather train an entire team. By doing that, we can raise the level of play for the whole team and not just a single athlete. We can accommodate any team, regardless of sport. Our goal is not to make a team better, but to make a team the best.
